He Has Given Me a New Song to Sing
As we talked about her family and her life experiences, Brenda was free and open. She was able to express herself very well and was an easy person to interview. She volunteered information with practically no prompting on my part.
"I think all this talking is a healing experience. I can leave the past. I'm letting go of it. Yes, that was my past and that's not who I am today. I can build on it and try to be a better person."
Brenda would like her story to help others, especially young people in abusive relationships. She'd like them to know they don't have to put up with the treatment.
