Molly
O'Connor, amateur musician and happily married mother of three grown children, is
present when a body is found in the inner-city school where she teaches part-time. As
Detective Brian Donegan investigates the murder of the school's unpopular principal,
Molly and her fellow musician and teacher friend, Tamiko, find themselves telling him
all about the interesting people who work there. Brian encourages them. The more he
learns about Driftwood School, the happier he is that he never attended one like it.
Soon other lives are in danger. Brian must work
quickly to solve more crimes than any school should have to face, and keep Molly from
being the ultimate victim.

Reviews:
"The parts of Agitato Allegro that I
particularly admired - the classroom scene with the fade-outs to backstory, and the
whisperings of the fellow student, the droning of the prof, and Molly's thoughts on
his teaching were particularly effective. I admired it for what it accomplished in
informing the reading, while giving real insight into Molly, and recreating the exact
sense of being a student in class. I also admired the deft inclusion of all sorts of
music knowledge. But most of all I was thrilled to experience the insider view of an
orchestra. Of course, I've watched orchestras plenty of times, but you made me feel an
orchestra from the inside. On a small scale, it transformed my attitude. And that's
one of the many things I look for in literature." ~ Lori White, owner of
Belgravia Books and Treasures, Edmonton, Alberta
"The first mystery was just great. For the last
50 pages I couldn't put it down until the solution at the end. I loved it and am eager
to start Baffling Bagatelles." ~ Edith Rojas, Buffalo, New York
